Wow, it’s already January 1st! I love fresh starts. What a great time to count our blessings, and move forward with intention! I will always be that sappy person who reminisces the year previous, and maps out the next year with ambition.
I loved 2019, it was such a steady year of growth for our family. I feel like we moved past the adding in another kiddo phase, and really saw our kids grow as little friends and playmates. I had so much fun celebrating each birthday and holiday with my two littles. They sure do make life more fun! Scarlet started preschool, which has been a big step for our little introvert. I felt the bittersweetness of our kids getting older, but also enjoyed seeing them develop and learn. We didn’t travel as much as I had hoped, we really are such homebodies! But that’s something I’m hoping for more of in the new year. I also got two new nieces, and a nephew this year! It’s so fun to see the extended families grow.
The year ended with us all getting really sick before Christmas, which was so rough! Luckily we were all better in time to celebrate. I felt like I was in a bit of a “funk” for a couple weeks, but after getting to spend more time together as a family, and having such a fun birthday celebrating my 25th with my hubby… I realized how mindset is EVERYTHING! I think the gray skies get to me in the Winter, so we’ve been planning to vacation somewhere nice & sunny soon! But in the meantime I’m going to make the absolute best of this season.
Moving into this new year, I have such a feeling of hope and peace. I feel like it will be a big year for our family, and I can’t wait to see what it holds!
I wanted to set some goals for the new year, to continue what I’ve already been working/planning/dreaming of. I think it’s so important to look forward in life! The best is yet to come.
Make the time for fun
- Travel with the kids! Get over my fear of everything going wrong and just go for it!
- Go on more dates with Arnie!
- Spend time doing the things I love! Hobbies/time with girlfriends/self care.
Welcome growth
- Hoping to grow our family this year…baby #3!
- Celebrate the changes of our family growing + release fears of not being able to control/manage everything.
- Get Scarlet excited about starting Kindergarten in the Fall!
Work on consistency with all goals big & small
- Develop and continue healthy routines, working out, eating healthy, taking supplements.
- Pursue my blog and carve out the time needed for it.
- Be intentional about my emotions and connect with God daily.
I could keep going! But these are the main things weighing on my mind for this new year.
What are some of your goals?
