Hi! It’s been a while since I’ve done a bump date so I thought I’d take the time to this week! Time is flying, which is a good thing while your pregnant, but it also feels like there is still a lot (probably not as much as my preggo brain is making it out to be…) left to do!
If you follow along with my IG stories you probably know we have been working on an addition to our home. It’s a master suite that will offer us a lot more room, another bathroom, and my favorite part…a walk in closet. Obviously it would be really nice to get this done BEFORE baby…but I’m pretty sure it won’t be completed within the next nine weeks… Oh well, right? We have space now, it just won’t be all organized and decorated like I like it…;) I also would like to share more home posts, but nothing is really 100% completed at this point! Once the addition is done Scarlet will get our old room, and the baby will get her old room. I have a couple things on my “Hunny Do” list that need to happen before baby K’s arrival, and then I feel like I can say everything is as ready as it’ll be able to get! The nesting instinct is REAL!! I’ve been micro cleaning everything it seems like.
I want to delve into a few questions, so this can be a somewhat organized post to read!
How far along?
31 weeks, officially in the eighth month!
Weight gained
For all you nosy readers 😉 23 pounds. I’m gaining less than I did with Scar, but I also started out underweight pre pregnancy with her, and I also ate a ton of carbs and indulged way more with that pregnancy! A big reason I’m trying to gain a little less (even if it’s just five pounds less) is because I don’t want to feel SOO uncomfortable, I have a small frame and I’m 5’2….so 45 extra pounds is a bit much for me to have to carry around! I still feel huge though, and I’m wondering how much huger I will feel at the end of this!
Birth Plan Updates
We are still planning and looking forward to a home birth. I honestly am just really excited, as I feel like I know a lot more this second time going into it. I’m seeing a Chiropractor weekly leading up to birth, as this is supposed to help shorten labor quite a bit (6-7 hours is what I’ve heard, but obviously it’s different for everyone). I’m also really excited to have a doula this time + just utilize every thing I can to have the best birth possible!
P.S.
We changed his middle name and both love it, Arnie picked it out. I also got a great pregnancy and birth book + affirmation cards that I will link here & here.
Thanks for stopping by!
