Hi ladies! I’m doing another bumpdate, and I actually feel like there are a few new things I can talk about! Certain stretches of pregnancy there really isn’t a whole lot new to share…. but I feel like I’ve hit some milestones and am thinking more and more about bringing this little baby into the world! I’ll start this bumpdate off with some Q & A then I will move onto some of the other miscellaneous stuff I want to share!
How far along?
25 weeks! Well not officially until Monday!
Gender?
Well if you follow along with me I’m sure you already know it’s a BOY!
Maternity clothes?
Sometimes! I feel like maternity shirts really come in handy, because they are still fitted just longer (versus buying the next size up). I have one pair of maternity jeans and I actually like them! I still favor wearing leggings or dresses though. I’m not going to lie, I am already looking forward to Spring clothes!
Weight gained?
Okay, I always see this one on bumpdates and I find myself very curious where other people are at if I am being 100% honest! I feel like whatever is healthy for you and your baby is a fine amount of weight! I am currently 17 pounds up from my PPW. If I follow the one pound a week until 40 weeks, I’ll have gained about 32 pounds total. But, like I said whatever is healthy and whatever ends up happening I’ll be fine with! I gain weight very easily while pregnant, but at least it comes off easily afterwards.
Baby Gear Update
After going back and forth a bunch… I decided on the 2017 City Select LUX double stroller & the Peg Perego infant car seat. I’m really excited to get them in the mail and I’m hoping they live up their reviews! I love how the stroller has multiple ways you can configure the two seats or choose to make it a single seater. Since Scarlet will be close to 3 when the baby gets here I know she won’t be using the stroller all the time, but I think it would be nice to have the option when her little feet get tired! I am still on the market for a baby swing, so if you have any recommendations please comment!
Birth Plan update
I am seeing a licensed midwife for all my prenatal appointments & she will be the one that helps me deliver this baby! I love how professional yet personable she is, and how we are really having a tailored fit experience. We originally were planning on using the birthing suite she offers, but it is about a 45 minute drive away from us… so it just came down to it making more sense if she came to us. She also does home births so it’s nothing new for her to have to make the drive, and I’d rather be waiting on someone to arrive than be in labor while strapped into a car seat! I feel really confident about this decision, and will be continuing to read more birthing books leading up to this big day! I’m all about getting mentally prepared. I also am having a Doula there at the birth and I’m really excited about that! I’ll continue to post updates and things I am doing to prepare if anyone is interested in that!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
