Hi everyone! Wow, it has been over a month since my last blog post! Things have been hectic as we finish up our fixer upper, and move from our current rental. We decided a few days ago to just bring some of the necessities and stay a couple days out at the new place. This way Arnie could work later into the night since he wasn’t having to stop and come home for dinner etc. Anyways, it has been BUSY to say the least. Also we are kinda just bouncing back and forth from house to house packing, grabbing, and going it feels like.
I am so excited that it’s almost all done! I feel like I’ve been saying “almost” for a long time now… haha. If there is one thing I’ve learned about having a house fix upped is EVERYTHING takes longer than you think it will. Especially, since my husband did a lot of the work on his own. I am so proud of him for taking lead on what turned out to be a big project!
Well… I wasn’t going to share any photos until it was all done and perfect…but, I figured it will probably be weeks of getting settled in before I can really show a fully done and decorated home. So this is our almost move in ready photos… I want to do a room by room reveal as I put my touch on everything in the next couple months!
One view of the living area (it’s actually pretty big… and might include a play area for Scar eventually)
Kitchen, waiting on the miniature island and hanging light to be put in! Plus oven + dishwasher + sink hardware.
Master bedroom (don’t mind our make shift bed!)
Scar’s room
Bathroom
Laundry
Dining
So what we have left is building the backdrop for the mantel place, counter tops and backsplash (which will hopefully happen this week), island installed, hanging kitchen light, appliances installed, mirror for bathroom, shelving put in the pantry, closets, and laundry room, and all the caulking and touch up paint on the trim which is what Arnie is doing now! So it is close…but there’s always more details that come up the closer we get it feels like. I will definitely do more thorough photos as it comes together!
Thanks for stopping by lovelies!
