Hi everybody! Maybe you’ve noticed I’ve been a little MIA, or maybe you haven’t noticed at all and that’s totally okay too… 😉
We bought our first house last month…and it is a fixer upper! I’m not talking about replacing a couple things and some new paint…pretty much everything needs to be re done! We always knew we wanted to live in the country or at least have more space than our tight home development allows. Arnie grew up in the country and loved it! It’s been a dream of his to get to raise our kids out where they have space to play and explore. I’ve never lived in the country nor do I really consider myself a “country girl”… haha, but I got on board once I saw the views and experienced how peaceful and cozy it is. We still have neighbors and all, were just not packed in like sardines. Plus there might be a couple of pastures of cows between us.. 😉 I am still a little unsure about how it will feel to be all moved out there, but I’m excited for this new chapter regardless!
We are lucky enough to have lots of family who is pitching in and helping us renovate this little house. We are hoping to move in sometime at the end of Winter, sooner the better but everything has to get done in only a few short months!
I haven’t been posting as much recently because my hard working husband has been so busy working out there, so I’ve sort of lost my blog photographer! When he does take a day off we are usually making the most of it doing family stuff and relaxing. I’m used to having him home more with his majority of work from home job. But now I feel like a true mom, running errands, grocery shopping and managing things on my own. Haha. It’s a very busy time of life, especially with Holidays coming up here real fast!
I just wanted to share a little bit of life with you guys, even if it’s really dirty, messy, and super unglamourous right now!
Here are some before pictures…Although they aren’t “true” before pictures because they were taken after the carpet, wall panelling, and ceilings were torn down. So this is a sort of after demo but  before reconstruction slideshow.

Lots of dirt for the time being!
Oh my goodness we have so much to do! We also have a detached garage, work shed, “cottage” which will be the office, and a barn. My favorite part is probably the covered deck that will be great for parties! Right now it’s sky high with materials and dirt! We also are doing a small addition for a dining room. Our hands are full!
If this is something your interested in I would love to post more photos of the process and some home decor posts + after photos! I am really happy to finally get to give Scarlet her own room, and decorate it all fun for her (and me).
Thanks for stopping by!
