Okay so we are about a month late posting this… I think I was subconsciously dragging it out,because I knew this would be the last of her monthly updates! In blog post form anyway. So bittersweet! I feel like things will not go as fast (maybe?) now since I can say she is one for the next 11 months! 

New Tricks- This girl is full on walking all the time now! She can really get around quick! She often runs away when it’s time for a diaper change… She is signing all of the signs we have so far taught her: more, please, milk, more, and all done. It’s so sweet! I’m so glad we took the time to teach her, even if it’s not a ton of words. Her verbal words are Mama, Dad, no, hot, dog, nurse, hi, and lots of that adorable baby jibber jabber. She now knows how to safely climb off the bed + couch, we still have to catch the occasional nose dives! 

Growing- Princess is 20lbs. and 30 inches tall. Her height and weight are starting to even out more, even though she is still our little tall and thin girl. She seems to be nursing a TON lately, which can be really demanding on me…but I know it’s because she’s teething. She has nine teeth and two more waiting to pop through! She is starting to get more picky with food which I hate! I loved when she would gobble down plates of broccoli. Her favorites right now are eggs, meat, and berries + fruit of any kind. I sneak in more veggies in our green smoothies, because she loves drinking from a straw! This little mini is still in her 12 month clothing. I have so much cute stuff in the next size so I can’t wait until she gets a little bigger! Or maybe,on second thought I want her to stay tiny… 

Sleeping- She is such a good mapper now that we have a consistent routine. Nap at 11, and nap at 3. This gives mommy two hours during the day to do all those things I can’t with a toddler under foot! She goes to bed around 8 and then wakes up around 11pm to nurse one more time before sleeping through till the morning. She sleeps with us once we go to bed. Having no nursery kinda contributed to that! Plus I love it. 

Personality- She is so full of spunk! Nose crinkles, giggles, and so much mischief! She loves being busy and just going through the whole house finding little things to get into. She is curious and loves seeing how things work and fit together. She has started to copy doing things we do, it’s so funny! She sings when it’s time to go “nigh night”, blows when somethings “hot”, and has taken to putting on my shoes. She loves to be silly together. Peek-a-boo behind objects and pieces of furniture are her favorite! Kisses willingly and generously given to her Daddy and me are my favorite though! Knowing she loves us back is the greatest feeling. She will lay on her tummy while we rub her back, and when we stop she will do the sign for more! Haha. That’s my girl. 

I love her to pieces. Can’t believe she made me a mama and we get to be besties forever!
