My Scarlet Ava is in the double digit months!!! How Precious and sweet these months have been.
New Tricks- She is standing for a few seconds at a time on her own. We kinda have to trick her into it, because once she realizes she’s standing she promptly sits down! She is just starting to cruise around with her walker also.
Growing- She is eating like a champ and seems to be getting heavier and heavier! At least that’s how it feels when I forget the ergo and am packing her around on my hip while running around…Weighing in at 19lbs and is around 29 1/2 inches tall, so hard to get her to lay straight long enough to measure! Still my little pixie. She’s also been wanting to nurse more all the sudden, even though she eats three times a day. I want to continue breastfeeding for as long as she (reasonably) wants to. I think it’s important to get all the immune boosting nutrition a mama’s milk has! I guess my “crunchy” mama side is coming out more and more…
Sleeping- Pretty much the same as last month! I try to get her to sleep with as little tears as possible and have her take two naps a day, then a good full night in as well. She would sleep on me forever so I have to gently ease her into her own bed.
Personality- She is still as hammy as ever, shy at first, then a total flirt when she’s comfortable with someone! She points at everything! Is starting to talk more in her own little baby babble. I swear she said “mama” and sometimes “dada” too, although she is still matching the words to their meanings. She sometimes confuses mama with “pick me up!”The one word she really has down though is… nurse. Haha. She will say “nur nur!” when she really wants to nurse and I’m not getting to it fast enough. I think it’s just the cutest. She is inquisitive and loves playing and fiddling around with small intricate things. One of her new favorite sillies is to take a drink of water and then blow with her tongue out afterwards spraying little spurts of water. She does it every time she drinks water. Drink. Drink. Drink. Then, Blow. Spit. Spit. Giggles. Loves to get a good laugh out of us!
I’m full on 1st Birthday planning, and getting pretty emotional about how fast her first year is going… It’s been so full of joy, love, learning, and really getting to experience what it’s like being a mama!
