My sweet little baby is nine months old!

Only three more months until she’s one…. wow… I am not ready for this! Cherishing every day with my girl.

 

New Tricks- She is crawling on all fours the majority of the time…goodbye army crawl! She is pulling herself up all the time now. The coffee table is our nemesis, I’m always so afraid she will bonk! She is so active, as she has been since she lived in my tummy…No signs of walking yet. I feel like that’s a huge milestone and I’m glad that won’t be for a while yet.

Growing- She finally is 18lbs! Seemed like she was at 17lbs. forever! 28 inches. She is so small yet big, if that makes sense! She seems tiny in a lot of ways, but her hands and feet are getting really big looking. She is still light feeling to me so I’m glad about that… I am not a big person,so it’s easier for me to handle a little baby! She is still wearing the same size clothes and diapers as last month. She is mostly eating fruit and veggie purees, all though she loves meat and egg yolk as well. Lots of nursing. She is a quickie though, she doesn’t spend longer than five minutes unless she’s falling asleep.

Sleeping- She is doing well with naps, we are getting a pretty consistent schedule with that. She still likes to be rocked and nursed to sleep (what baby doesn’t?) I am putting her in her bed for naps but she still sleeps majority of the night with us… Not sure if I’m gonna try to change this or not. I just love those extra snuggles I get when she’s right next to me!

Personality- She is the most curious little rascal. She is always into things and loves being hands on. She likes grown up things over toys. Although she will play with her things for a while before hauling off and finding a “naughty” aka something she knows she’s not supposed to get into. She growls when she really likes something, food or otherwise. It’s so funny! She has this ongoing game with us where she will playfully shake her head “no” and giggle. Whenever she hears us say “no! don’t tell me that Scarlet!” She will start the head shake and we will all crack up. She is such a joy to our lives. I often call her my little pixie because she is so playful and dainty. This little girl also LOVES to dance! We put on music and she is instantly bopping around. It may just be the cutest thing ever…
