Happy Friday! Now that King is six months old I thought it would be a great time to do a little update and share the things we’ve been loving!
Note the drool puddle on my knee!
We also ALMOST have the nursery done (this is where we took this photo) and I am really excited to be sharing that soon as well! I’m going to start trying to put him in his crib to nap more, but sometimes popping him in the ergo is so convenient! I think the Ergo is my number one baby product. I already shared that in his 3 Month update, but it seriously can be a lifesaver, especially if you have babies like mine who like being held ALL the time!
Since my last update we have only bought two main baby items (outside nursery furniture) that I feel like are worth sharing. I honestly like to keep the toys and gadgets pretty minimal, because all that baby stuff takes up so much space. Besides the fact babies usually end up playing with dish towels and kitchen spatulas anyways?! ha!
We got this exersaucer and I looked and looked, and trust me this was the prettiest one I could find on Amazon! I was asking my husband why they don’t make these things in neutral colors, and he pointed out they are made for babies and not interior designers. Got me there. But this one is really great even if it is red and blue, it has a more modern look and it’s easy to pick up and move room to room. King didn’t like it at first, but as he has gotten older he tolerates it more and more. He likes swiveling around and chewing on the toy attachments. Sometimes Mama just has to put him down for a few minutes, and this way I don’t have to worry about him rolling into anything or finding chokable toys on the floor.
The other must have baby product we purchased was this high chair. It is sleek, easy to clean, and folds up nicely. I like how it’s simple and durable. Plus it’s black and white, and fits perfectly in with the rest of our kitchen and dining aesthetic. He mostly sits in it while I cook or we eat, with a few toys on top. I think he enjoys being higher up and closer to our eye level.
We have given him avocado and some soft egg pieces. He get so excited about food! But when it actually comes down to it he gags a lot when we give him bites. I’m not too worried though, because he is still at the age where he is getting most of his calories from breast milk. And he nurses a TON! I taught him the sign for nurse and he has used it a couple of times! Teach your baby sign language because it seriously is the cutest!
He has two cute little teeth and still barely has any hair! He still smiles a ton and is the most charming little boy I have ever met.
Thanks for stopping by!
